Project Manager

Position Type: Full-Time

We’re looking for a Project Manager who can lead complex engineering projects from concept through construction. In this role, you’ll help deliver high-quality solutions across data centers, commercial buildings, industrial facilities, and other mission-critical environments.

You’ll act as the central point of coordination, bringing together multidisciplinary teams, driving project performance, and keeping communication clear between clients, partners, and internal teams. If you enjoy balancing technical oversight with client-facing leadership, this is a role where you can make a real impact.

What You’ll Do

You’ll take ownership of projects from start to finish, working closely with both internal teams and external partners to keep everything aligned and moving forward.

  • Lead projects from concept through closeout, including planning, design, permitting, bidding, and construction
  • Own project scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring alignment with client expectations
  • Facilitate kickoff meetings, design reviews, and ongoing coordination across teams
  • Oversee project documentation, deliverables, and communication throughout all phases
  • Support engineers, designers, and subconsultants to ensure quality and timely execution

You’ll also play a key role in guiding design and making sure systems are well-coordinated and practical to build.

  • Provide oversight of mechanical, electrical, and low-voltage system design
  • Review drawings, specifications, calculations, and reports for accuracy and constructability
  • Coordinate across disciplines to ensure integrated, efficient system design
  • Support value engineering and design optimization efforts

During construction, you’ll stay closely involved to help resolve issues and keep projects on track.

  • Respond to RFIs and review submittals, shop drawings, and product data
  • Manage change orders and construction-phase updates
  • Conduct site visits for progress reviews, inspections, and quality control
  • Ensure construction aligns with project documents, codes, and standards

You’ll also keep a close eye on the bigger picture, including schedule, cost, and overall performance.

  • Develop and maintain project schedules aligned with key milestones
  • Support cost estimating and bid evaluations during procurement
  • Review contractor proposals and negotiate change orders
  • Manage contracts, amendments, and fee proposals
  • Monitor and manage project financial performance, including budget tracking, billing, and profitability

Just as important, you’ll help maintain strong relationships and keep communication flowing.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors
  • Lead regular progress meetings and provide clear updates and follow-up
  • Build strong client relationships and help identify future opportunities

And behind the scenes, you’ll help ensure everything meets high standards and stays compliant.

  • Lead quality control efforts across design and construction documentation
  • Support continuous improvement in project delivery processes
  • Coordinate with permitting agencies, utilities, and AHJs to keep approvals on track

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • 5–15+ years of experience managing MEP or mission-critical projects
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and low-voltage building systems
  • Experience managing projects across both design and construction phases
  • Familiarity with RFIs, submittals, change orders, permitting, specifications, and cost estimating
  • Ability to lead teams, run meetings, manage schedules, and drive coordination
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice to Have

  • PE license or PMP certification
  • Experience with data centers, mission-critical facilities, or complex infrastructure projects
  • Familiarity with tools like MS Project, Bluebeam, or Procore
  • Experience in consulting engineering or construction management environments

This role is a mix of office and field work, depending on project needs. You’ll spend time collaborating with your team, as well as visiting job sites to stay connected to project progress. Occasional travel to client and construction sites is expected.
