One of the newer temples of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is located in Tucson, Arizona. The temple is located on seven acres of land at the base of the Catalina Mountains in Pima County. The building itself is exquisite with a dome feature not typically seen on LDS temples. It is the first design of its kind within the LDS temple inventory to feature a dome.
The exterior lighting elements for this temple were a challenge. The design was met with very strict country “dark sky” ordinances. Spectrum Engineers worked to develop a strategic goal to meet these ordinances. Spectrum engineers did the electrical engineering for this temple as well as acoustics.
